What Is QFD Quality Function Deployment?

Qual­i­ty Func­tion Deploy­ment, or QFD, is a sys­tem­at­ic approach for trans­form­ing cus­tomer require­ments into tech­ni­cal require­ments for meet­ing those needs. QFD address­es qual­i­ty in the broad­est sense, includ­ing all aspects of an orga­ni­za­tion for meet­ing cus­tomer demands. QFD doesn’t replace an orga­ni­za­tion’s prod­uct devel­op­ment process, but helps to inte­grate cus­tomer require­ments into how we design and deliv­er prod­ucts and services.
