Becoming a leader changes more than your title—it changes how you work.
The skills and habits that make someone a successful individual contributor don't always translate into effective leadership. New and emerging leaders must learn how to shift from doing the work themselves to setting direction, managing priorities, developing effective routines, and creating the conditions for their teams to succeed.
Sustainable Leadership is a four-session, live, instructor-led virtual series designed to help new and emerging leaders build practical skills for managing themselves, supporting their teams, and leading daily operations more effectively.
Rather than constantly reacting to urgent demands, participants will learn how to establish clear priorities, develop productive leadership routines, identify problems earlier, and focus their time where they can make the greatest impact.
What You'll Learn
Throughout the series, participants will develop practical skills to:
- Successfully transition from individual contributor to leader
- Shift from doing the work to enabling and developing others
- Build credibility and confidence as a leader
- Translate organizational goals into clear team priorities
- Balance urgent demands with important long-term objectives
- Make effective decisions when information is incomplete
- Establish Leader Standard Work and productive daily routines
- Use team huddles, visual management, and performance measures
- Identify problems earlier and reduce reactive firefighting
- Create a practical leadership plan they can immediately apply at work
How the Series Works
More than a webinar. A practical leadership development experience.
Participants meet live every other week, allowing time between sessions to apply new skills, reflect on real workplace challenges, and build sustainable leadership habits.
The first three sessions combine instructor-led learning, discussion, and practical application to help participants build skills for everyday leadership.
The series concludes with a 2.5-hour interactive Skills Lab, where participants integrate those skills and create a practical leadership plan for setting priorities, coaching their team, and establishing daily routines they can use at work.
