Why Lean?

Ryan describes how he won­dered how oth­er great orga­ni­za­tions worked so well to pro­duce world-class prod­ucts, while his com­pa­ny strug­gled with excess inven­to­ry, slow pro­duc­tion, and depen­den­cy on ven­dors. There had to be a solu­tion. Then one day he came across a Paul Akers video that shed the first bit of light that would even­tu­al­ly lead to the trans­for­ma­tion his company.
